Tarangire National Park Video, Tanzania

Located off the main safari route, Tarangire National Park is a hidden gem in Northern Tanzania. It is most famous for its baobabs, landscape and its elephant migration. In terms of elephants, it is the ‘Amboseli’ of Tanzania.

The Park has some great scenery with rocky cliffs, hills, acacia savannah and woodland, combretum bush and swamps, and of course the beautiful Tarangire river, which flows all year. It is the best place to see baobabs in Northern Tanzania.

At just under 3,000 square kilometres, Tarangire is about ten times the size of nearby Manyara National Park.  The concentration of wildlife in Tarangire is exceptional, particularly in the dry season, from July through to October.
