Africa Safari Experiences

Whether you are travelling as a single person, couple, honeymooner, group, or family, we are able to advise on which areas and which properties are right for you.

  • 2-3 Star Accommodation

Our 2 to 3 star accommodated safaris and tours use comfortable accommodation that is booked on a twin share basis. The majority of rooms have en-suite bathrooms and very occasionally they will have shared ablutions. All linen and bedding is provided.
  • 3-4 Star Accommodation

Our 3 to 4 star accommodated safaris and tours use a variety of  value-for-money accommodation.  Accommodation varies from chalets, bungalows, traditional huts, permanent tents and hotels, all with private en-suite facilities and comfortable beds to ensure you’re re-charged and ready to go for the following days adventure!
  • Adventure Camping

Adventure camping requires participation. Your guide and assistant do all the meal preparation, however, we ask guests to help (on rotation) with the washing up.  You will also need to assist with putting up your tent and packing the vehicle.  There are some long travel days which means early morning starts, so we all need to get involved to make the day run efficiently.

  • Beach Holiday

If you’re looking for sun-soaked African beach holiday beneath a cloudless sky, then head to the east coast of Africa where the Indian Ocean meets Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique along with their tropical islands.
  • Daily Departures

We have a wide range of African safaris and tours that can depart on any day/date throughout the year, subject to availability of accommodation.
  • Family Safaris in Africa

When it comes to a family holiday, an African safari is an enriching and exciting experience. As a company, we recommend your children are at least 10 years old so that everyone can enjoy and get the most out of this amazing experience. Most family-friendly camps/lodges have family tents/rooms, meaning you can all be under the same roof.  Child rates are often applicable but does depend on the age of your children.
  • Fully Assisted Camping (en-suite)

Fully Assisted Camping (en-suite) is the modern-day version of the ‘traditional’ safari – like the gentleman explorers Baker, Stanley and Baines. Today, the ox-wagons and bearers have been replaced with custom-made 4WD safari vehicles, a professional guide, chef, waiter and support crew.
  • Fully Assisted Camping (non en-suite)

Fully Assisted Camping (non-ensuite) means you will not have to lift a finger as we take care of all camping chores: cooking, cleaning, pitching and packing tents.  You have a 3-man crew of experienced safari staff (including a cook) who are dedicated to making your trip memorable and rewarding.
  • Gorilla Trekking

Trekking through the African rainforest to see the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat is one of the most breathtaking, mesmerizing, and unforgettable experiences one can have.  With a population of just 880 individuals, mountain gorillas are one of the most endangered animals in the world.
  • Hosted Safaris

We offer a couple of safaris each year that are hosted by either Claire and Tracy, along with highly qualified local guides.  Both Claire and Tracy have tremendous experience in Africa, collectively spending between 2 and 3 months on the continent.
  • Lodge and Fully Assisted Camping

These safaris combine Fully Assisted Camping (en-suite) with lodges and/or tented camps.  These combination itineraries combine the authentic under canvas feel with a lodge/tented camp experience – giving you the best of both words on safari!
  • Lodges and Tented Camps

Safari lodges are permanent accommodation built out of stone, wood, thatch, bricks, mortar or a combination of all.  Tented Camps are generally considered the best for a true safari experience. All lodges and tented camps feature real beds and private, en-suite bathroom facilities.
  • Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain on the African continent, stands 330 kilometres south of the equator, on the northern boundary of Tanzania. Its location, on an open plain close to the Indian Ocean, and its great size and height strongly influence the climbing conditions.
  • Scheduled Departures

We have a wide range of African safaris and tours with set departure dates to cater for guests wanting to travel in small groups. Your guide travels with you for the duration of the safari or tour, with the advantage of enjoying the company of a group of like-minded people for the whole safari, sharing an adventure that is often the basis for lasting friendships.
  • Walking Safaris

There are numerous options of walking safaris in Africa, offering varying terrains.  A walking safari generally consists of walks 2+ hours in duration, and so it is suitable for any adventurous traveller.
