5-day Masai Mara Under Canvas
Staying in a conservancy in the Masai Mara, you are away from the hordes of vehicles in Masai Mara National Reserve. Situated beside the Ripole River in the Mara Ripoi Conservancy, Giraffe Camp is surrounded by a forest of Camphor bush (African Wild Sage, known as Leleshwa in Kenya) and Yellow Bark Acacia. Beautiful hills, woodlands, and open plains make up this 13,500-acre game-rich wildlife sanctuary, which is home to a wide variety of species, including big cats. The conservancy links directly to the Mara Reserve, allowing wildlife to roam freely from the Reserve and to Ol Kinyei Conservancy along a wildlife corridor that runs across the Ripole River. It also connects to Siana Conservancy. Additionally, you can game drive in Ol Kinyei Conservancy and you have one entry fee included for the Masai Mara National Reserve.
With only eight guest tents, Giraffe Camp is a perfect alternative to the large, mass-market tourist hotels in the Masai Mara, offering a more intimate and genuine safari experience. A dining tent and a cosy lounge are situated along the Ripole river at the camp. The camp offers visitors the chance to spend time at a really environmentally friendly bush camp with no permanent buildings and little environmental impact. A Maasai village has leased a portion of their property to us for the purpose of conserving wildlife, which is why we have a 13,500-acre Kenyan wildlife conservancy on it.
