Grootberg Lodge is located in 30,000 acres of reserve in the Northwest of Namibia between Etosha National Park and Damaraland.
Your hosts at Grootberg Lodge are members of the #Khoadi/Hoas conservancy in which the lodge is located. You can enjoy sundowners on the deck or a swim in the pool. The rooms are comfortably appointed and blend into the surroundings. Through active conservation, black rhino and desert elephants still freely roam the land. You have the opportunity to explore the landscape, rich in geological and botanical wonders, encounter stunning wildlife and get acquainted with the traditions of the #Khoadi//Hoas people.
Eco-tourism is the main focus at Grootberg Lodge with local community members making sure your stay is filled with golden memories.
From the lodge, you can take hiking trails with an experienced guide. On offer is black rhino-tracking, bird watching, or viewing reptiles, insects, plants and interacting with the local communities.
Game-drives across the plateau can be taken in the mornings or evenings, where you can see the amazing plant life and geological features and local wildlife.
Desert elephants and black rhinos are known to roam the area around the lodge as well as springbok, kudu, zebra, lion, giraffe and jackals.
