A 16 bed private camp set upstream of the Falls by about 20kms. This is an option for those that are more conscious about their budget, there are 5 open fronted chalets raised and overlooking the river, these are made of natural materials giving a simple and rustic feel to the camp.

In addition there is a family chalet (the Chundu Cottage) that sleeps 6 people, it has 2 fairly small double en-suite rooms and a third kids room that is equipped with bunk beds, there is a very nice verandah overlooking the small pool and private access to the river in front.

The camp has a homely feel to it and the hosting is very personalised, there is a small pool as well. All the activities in and around the Livingstone area are available as are a number of in-house trips such as river cruises, birding or village walks and the like.

Sussi and Chuma Lodge is an enchanting riverbank hideaway just 10 minutes upstream of the Victoria Falls along the Zambezi River next to Zambia's Mosi-Oa-Tunya National Park. It is named after David Livingstone’s faithful friends and consists of an exclusive upmarket lodge and the Chuma Houses, spacious two-bedroomed villas which take full advantage of their enchanting riverbank setting.

Guest accommodation consists of 12 luxury tree houses built into the living canopy of giant ebony trees lining the bank. Each unit has a private view of the mighty Zambezi River from its own deck among the branches and is equipped with en-suite facilities, air conditioning, mini bar, mosquito nets, overhead fans, tea/coffee facilities and a hair dryer. Tongabezi Lodge is an exclusive lodge away from the crowds on the banks of the Zambezi River, 15 km upstream from the magnificent Victoria Falls. It is a small and secluded lodge, set in a tranquil grove of African ebony trees on a sweeping bend of the Zambezi River.

The lodge accommodates 18 guests and consists of five cottages and four spacious, open-planned stone and thatch houses. All rooms have fabulous river views and en-suite bathrooms. The four houses - Honeymoon House, Tree House, Bird House and the Dog House – are uniquely designed and constructed using local materials with an open-plan bedroom featuring a four poster double bed sheltered by a large airy mosquito canopy .The quirky and open-plan design of the houses ensures that guests have the best views in Africa. Each house and cottage at Tongabezi has valet service for the duration of the guests’ stay to ensure a comfortable experience and each valet has in-depth knowledge of Tongabezi and the surrounding area. The camp's swimming pool is landscaped into a natural cliff and meals are served in the large dining room or on the deck overlooking the river.

Activities at Tongabezi include guided canoeing excursions, guided walks with lunch on one of the islands, fishing, a visit to the Victoria falls on the Zambian side, a game drive to the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, a walk in the gorges below the falls, a cultural visit to the local museum, a visit to Livingstone town and sunrise and sunset boat trips on the Zambezi. Waterberry Lodge is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River about 22 km from Livingstone, towards Kazungula. The main double-storey lodge area overlooks the Zambezi River and the game park beyond. Upstairs the main lounge is open to the high thatch with plenty of seating and boasts a well-stocked bar with magnificent views. Meals are served in the dining area or alfresco on the sun terrace that overlooks the river.

A floating pontoon gently sways on the Zambezi River, making it the perfect location for sundowners, fishing or just relaxing and enjoying the view. A large and welcoming swimming pool is set in the centre of our landscaped gardens and has a small plunge pool with a shallow end, making it safe for children. The comfortable chalets are set in sweeping lawns - some on the riverbank and some overlooking a private dam. Several of the rooms have their own private decks for sunbathing, bird watching, private dinners or just relaxing.

In-house activities include a tour of falls, sunset cruise, daytime cruise, fishing, island picnics, guided birding, guided village walk and guided tour of the town and local markets – depending on the rate basis these are included or excluded. All other activities offered in Livingstone can be organised at an additional cost and pre-booked or booked at the lodge on arrival.
