Baker’s Lodge

In the heart of Murchison Falls National Park is Baker’s Lodge.  Located on the banks for the White Nile, it is unmatched in terms of tranquillity and is the perfect base to explore the falls, game drive in the park and much more.

Deriving its name from the historic English explorer Samuel Baker, Baker’s Lodge is situated on the Southbank of the mighty Nile River which transects Murchison Falls National Park. This intimate, safari styled lodge is set within a large private area with direct river access, large shady trees and wetland areas hosting abundant birdlife along the water’s edge. The views onto the river are vast and magnificent with islands hosting nesting egret birds, elephants bathing and pods of hippos regularly viewed.

The lodge’s main area is a raised wooden platform, comprising of the bar area, a lounge area and the restaurant space (although they are flexible as to where you can have dinner). The lodge has an inviting swimming pool, and stone paths between here, the main area and the rooms.

The rooms at Baker’s Lodge are very spacious and comfortable. The rooms have raised ceilings, supported with wooden beams and thatch material. Each room has a large bed with mosquito nets, a well-appointed en-suite bathroom and a veranda with comfortable chairs, offering views out to the Nile.
