Set within 12,000 hectares of pristine, previously inaccessible wilderness—now exclusively open to guests of Rhino Walking Safaris. Here you will experience the African bush as few ever do. With no public visitors in sight, guests enjoy complete tranquility as guides lead immersive walking safaris directly from camp or via short drives into the wild.
Plains Camp offers an intimate and authentic safari experience, blending comfort with the charm of the bush. Each spacious, en-suite tent features extra-length beds, quality linens, and thoughtful details for a restful stay. Guests can unwind at the honesty bar—stocked with soft drinks, beers, ciders, and house wines (all included in the rate)—or cool off in the plunge pool after a day’s adventure.
Our chef prepares fresh, flavorful meals throughout the day: a hearty brunch, indulgent high tea, and a three-course dinner. Served with crisp white linen, candlelight, and silverware beneath the stars, dinner at Plains Camp is the perfect close to an exhilarating day.
Walking safaris generally set out in the early morning. The pace is adapted to suit the group, but a moderate level of fitness is required to ensure everyone’s enjoyment. Morning walks typically last around four hours, complemented by a shorter late-afternoon walk and a brief game drive, ensuring guests experience the bush from every perspective.
Children are warmly welcomed at Plains Camp.
