9-DAY ZAMBIA Discoverer (Economy Accommodation)

This safari combines the highlights of the South Luangwa National Park with the magnificent Victoria Falls and the wildlife variety of the Lower Zambezi.  Starting with 3 nights in South Luangwa National Park, you will experience one of the greatest wildlife sanctuaries in the world. The concentration of animals around the Luangwa River, and its oxbow lagoons, is among the highest in Africa.  From South Luangwa National Park you will fly to The Lower Zambezi which provides guests with the opportunity to get close to game wandering in and out of the Zambezi channels. Positioned opposite the famous Mana Pools Reserve in Zimbabwe, the whole area on both sides of the Zambezi River is a massive wildlife sanctuary.  Your safari will end with  2 nights in Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, or 'The Smoke that Thunders".  The falls is the world’s greatest sheet of falling water and significant worldwide for its exceptional geological features.

Day 1, 2 and 3 - Flatdogs Camp, South Luangwa National Park
Fully Inclusive

On arrival at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport you will be met by a representative and will be transferred by light aircraft to Mfuwe Airport and transferred by road to Flatdogs Camp.

Bordering the Luangwa River, the northern and southern Luangwa National Parks contain some of the most breathtaking and untouched wilderness in Africa. As a result of this and the parks’ successful anti-poaching campaigns, the area has developed into a world-renowned wildlife haven. The South Luangwa National Park is renowned for its walking safari, which allows visitors to view elephant, hippo and even lion close-up under the supervision of professional and knowledgeable armed guides.

The South Luangwa National Park is one of the last great wildlife wonders of the world. It is nine thousand square kilometers (3,475 square miles) of pristine wilderness in Zambia‘s Eastern Province. The South Luangwa has been visited by wildlife enthusiasts from all over the world since its creation as a National Park in 1972. The Luangwa offers a safari experience unmatched by any other destination, allowing year-round access, open game viewing vehicles, walking safaris and night game drives.

Day 4, 5 and 6 - Kutali Fly Camp, Lower Zambezi
Fully Inclusive

You will be transferred by a light aircraft from Flatdogs Camp to Kutali Fly Camp.

The Lower Zambezi National Park is the newest of Zambia’s exceptional, undeveloped wildlife areas.  And together with Zimbabwe’s Mana Pools Reserve the area provides a massive transfronteir wildlife sanctuary.  Most activities are concentrated along the Zambezi as this is what draws the animals and aside from game drives and walking safaris the area offers canoe trips and tiger fishing.

Kutali Island is a classic Lower Zambezi experience directly on the Zambezi rivers edge underneath the Winterthorn trees - on an island.

Day 7 and 8 - Maramba River Lodge, Livingstone (Victoria Falls)
Breakfast

You will be transferred by light aircraft from Kanyemba Lodge to Maramba River Lodge.

One of the original natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls is a World Heritage Site and an extremely popular tourism attraction. Known locally as ‘The Smoke that Thunders’ this spectacle is accessible from both Zambia and Zimbabwe and it is an ideal place to combine game viewing and water sports. There is excellent fishing, a terrifying bungee jump and arguably the best commercial white water rafting in the world.

Day 9 - Safari Ends in Livingstone, Zambia
Breakfast

You will be transferred by road to Livingstone Airport for you to connect with your onward international flight.
