12-day South Africa Family Safari (4 Star)

This 12-day South Africa Family Safari (Malaria Free) offers a great variety of experiences.  Enjoy the cable car or a hike up Table Mountain and panoramic views over the “Mother City”.  Other attractions include the Cultural History Museum, the Castle of Good Hope and the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.  Stay at Grootbos Private Nature Reserve. The reserve was named Grootbos—an Afrikaans word meaning “big forest”—for the enchanting milkwood forests that cover the hillside.

Finishing in Thornybush Private Game Reserve – the perfect way to bring families together and create lasting memories – whether it is on a game drive, around the dinner table or around a fire.  Rangers love taking children on walks pointing out the insects and plants to them. Baking and bush art is also offered where children use natural elements like leaves and seeds in their creations, bringing them closer to nature through their senses and creating something memorable as a keepsake.

There are many aspects to consider when taking your children on a safari.  Age is a big factor, as with children a little bit older (ideally 9 years and over) options can definitely open up and East Africa becomes a very popular choice for this age bracket.
