15-day Namib to Falls Adventure

Our 15-day Namib to Falls Adventure is a modified version of our longer 21-day Great Trek Adventure itinerary.  This shorter tour still offers an abundance of scenic, wildlife and cultural attractions. Walk the highest sand dunes in the world in the Namib Desert; see the wild animals of Etosha National Park; experience the untamed beauty of the Okavango Delta and relax along the Kwando and Chobe Rivers ending with the unforgettable sight of Victoria Falls.  This tour is operated in a 16 seater overland vehicle.  As a fully-serviced camping tour, your camp bed, mattress, sleeping bag and small pillow are all included.  Along with a team of three staff to take care of all camp duties such as cooking, cleaning and tent assembly.

Full Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1 : Windhoek

The afternoon in Windhoek is free to explore the capital city of Namibia. Today you will not be meeting your Kiboko guide or vehicle. You will be on your own arrangements today and will be transferred to your guide tomorrow morning at 10h00. Overnight Hotel Safari (or similar accommodation). (Accommodated – dinner own account)

Day 2 – 3 : Sesriem

Distance : 350kms (5hrs)
Clients are met at the reception at 10h00 and they are transferred to our camp located on the edge of the Namib Desert where they meet their Kiboko guide and vehicle. The following morning is an early departure for Sossusvlei, stopping in the dune belt to witness the changing colours of the world’s highest sand dunes. We undertake a 5km walk to Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. In the afternoon we enjoy a short hike through the Sesriem Canyon. (Serviced Camping - B, L, D)

Day 4 : Swakopmund

Distance : 380kms (6hrs)
Heading north we reach the coast at Walvis Bay and enjoy lunch while viewing the many flamingos feeding. We arrive in Swakopmund and spend the afternoon and following morning exploring this German colonial town or booking one of the numerous optional excursions (own expense). Activities available include dolphin cruises, scenic flights over the vast Namib and many more. Accommodation in BON Hotel Swakopmund.  (Accommodated - B, L – dinner own account)

Day 5 : Spitzkoppe

Distance : 150kms (3hrs)
Leaving Swakopmund after lunch we set up camp among the boulders of the Spitzkoppe Mountains. The afternoon is free to explore the stunning surrounding area on foot. The spectacular setting of our remote bushcamp is sure to leave a lasting impression. (Serviced Camping - B & D - Lunch own account)

Day 6 : Etosha National Park

Distance : 500kms (7hrs)
Floodlit waterholes at Okakeujo & Namutoni Restcamps attract an abundance of animals throughout the evening, providing us with many amazing wildlife sightings. We enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives. Overnight Okakeujo Restcamp inside Etosha. (Serviced Camping - B, L, D)

Day 7 : Etosha National Park

Today we enjoy a full day of game viewing, visiting Etosha pan and travelling to the east of the park. Overnight Namutoni rest camp inside Etosha park. (Serviced camping - B,L,D)

Day 8 : Rundu

Distance : 400kms (6hrs)
After a morning game drive we exit Etosha and travel to Rundu on the banks of the Kavango River. Our camp is set amongst the lush vegetation overlooking the Kavango River. (Serviced Camping - B, L, D)

Day 9 – 10 : Okavango Panhandle

Distance : 350kms (5hrs)
Continuing into the Caprivi we cross into Botswana and travel by road and boat to our campsite on the edge of the Okavango Delta. The following day we do mokoro & boat excursions in the back channels of the Nxamasire area of the delta. Game walks are also done on the smaller islands in the area subject to the water levels of the delta. (Serviced Camping - B, L, D)

Day 11 : Kwando River

Distance : 350kms (7hrs)
Departing the Delta by boat we return to our vehicle and we cross back into Namibia. Driving through the Caprivi we set up camp on the banks of the Kwando River. (Serviced Camping - B, L, D)

Day 12 – 13 : Chobe River Front

Distance : 300kms (5hrs)
Continuing through the Caprivi we cross into Botswana and travel through the Chobe National Park setting up camp on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife. The following day we relax on a game viewing cruise on the Chobe River. A morning game drive in Chobe National Park is optional (own expense). (Serviced Camping - B, L, D)

Day 14 : Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Distance : 100kms (2hrs)
After breakfast we travel across the Zimbabwean border to Victoria Falls, without doubt one of the greatest and most spectacular sights in Africa. The afternoon and following morning is spent at leisure to browse the local markets, to experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa including white water rafting, bungi jumping, microlighting/ airplane or helicopter flights over the Falls, and to visit the Falls (own expense). Overnight Cresta Sprayview Hotel (or similar). (Accommodated – B. Lunch and dinner own account)
