Lance, Pauline, Jenny and Marg - Just a few words of thanks for the wonderful safari we had with you in Tanzania and Kenya recently. We were thrilled with the various game reserves and the vast variety of animals we saw. Highlights were the stalk and kill made by the lone lioness, the “Mara” crossing by the migrating Wildebeest, those fabulous sunrises and sunsets, and of course the early morning balloon flight. We enjoyed the mix of camping and lodge accommodation. As we had already joined you on an earlier safari to Namibia and Botswana a year or two ago, we knew we would not be disappointed. Your knowledge of the birds and animals was amazing, your enthusiasm and your warm and friendly personality guaranteed that this trip was a winner with Pauline, Jenny, Marg and myself. We will always think of you with great affection when we look at photos of the trip and recall all the wonderful memories we have.

Pete and Dale – Travelled to Rwanda - The trip was perfectly organised with an excellent driver/guide. We were able to visit the gorilla group we requested and saw a large number in the group including the silverbacks and young ones. It was a wonderful hike in and we enjoyed the change from farm land through bamboo forest and into the lush vegetation where the gorillas lived. Other highlights included the Kigali city tour and the Holocaust Museum, the beautiful countryside in Rwanda and a night at Lake Kivu in a luxurious hotel! Thanks Claire!!!

Derek and Lyndsay - Travelled to Namibia and Botswana - we did a 12-day Namibia Ideal lodge tour and a 10-day Highlights of Botswana.  A fantastic experience.  We were spoiled in Namibia with so much variety, from the dunes of Sossusvlei to the coast at Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, to the flat mountains of Damaraland, to the animals of Etosha National Park.  Stayed in high class lodges which far exceeded our 3 star expectations.  Invariably ate good quality dinners and ample breakfasts in the lodges. Saw leopard, cheetah, lions, rhino, elephants, giraffe, zebra and so much more and often at very close range.  The highlight may have been Dead Vlei, an unbelievably beautiful area, with a crystal clear atmosphere which exaggerates the natural desert light.

Botswana was also a wonderful experience. Without the landscape variety of Namibia, the purpose of visiting is to get close up to animals.  And that we did, in particular in the Chobe National Park.  We added hippos and buffalo to the animals already sighted in Namibia.  The colourful and plentiful bird life in both countries was amazing.  Finished it all in Livingstone at the Victoria Falls.

A highly recommended tour, the trip of a lifetime!!   Thanks Claire for your assistance in putting it together.

Ian and Carole - Travelled to Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar  - Thank you for planning the trip of a lifetime! My wife, our son John and his wife Olivia, and I travelled to Botswana, Tanzania, Kenya and Zanzibar with African Safaris Ltd in August 2009. We started in Livingstone, Zambia which was amazing, and then over the border (a ferry crossing which was an adventure in itself) to Botswana. The Okavango Delta and Chobe were absolutely magnificent!  We were thrilled with the whole trip, particularly with the excellent and organised itinerary, the beautiful accommodations and most importantly, our fantastic guides.  We saw more animals than we thought possible, including giraffe, cheetah, elephants, lions, buffalo, hippos and much more - all within just a few feet. We would wholeheartedly recommend African Safaris Ltd to anyone interested in visiting Africa. Thank you Claire!

John and Olivia - Travelled to Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar - After months of looking on the internet trying to find someone to help us with our African trip of a life time we came across Claire, she provided us with the best African experience we could have hoped for. We stayed in some amazing camps that had you in amongst the wild life memories that will be with us forever, the mokoro canoes on the Okavango delta, the elephants of Chobe and the porini lion camp were amazing. We can not speak highly enough of Claire and the service she offers is so personal and the knowledge she has on Africa is amazing. Thank you again Claire.

Noeleen and Brian - Travelled to Namibia and Botswana - "We had no idea, when we booked our participatory safari to Namibia and Botswana with Claire, that our wildest dreams and most passionate hopes could actually be realised! We were treated to a visual smorgasbord of wildlife, a stunning panorama of Africa's geography and natural history and the excitement of once-in-a-lifetime experiences camping in the animal's domain, all with a group of likeminded people who added fun to the package. The success of our adventure was complemented by Claire's exemplary management and organisation, both before and during our trip, and her skilful practical knowledge. Africa is indellibly printed in our hearts and minds, thanks to our memorable month travelling with African Safaris."

Kathryn and David - Travelled to South Africa - "We had the most amazing time and are already talking about when we can arrange some time away from work to go back next year. Kapama was just beautiful, the animals were amazing we saw the Big 5 and everything else that was on offer, and we were looked after so well by all the staff! We have recommended Kapama to all our friends."

Tania and Paul - Travelled to Botswana - The safari was really great! The guides were excellent, very knowledgeable, dedicated and good fun as well.  Botswana was beautiful and we loved camping wild in the Okavango and Moremi and Chobe parks.  Thanks for everything, I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone.

Tony and Nancy - Travelled to South Africa - WOW!! What did we expect, - well we didn't know! It was described as," The World in One Country," and we have heard the same description used of New Zealand, But although this was only a small part of Africa, we managed to see so much and what a variety of places, animals, all so well catered for and led by such competent and knowledgable leaders. To be able to spend 3 weeks in South Africa on a first visit, in a small group of close friends with a great guide, was an unforgettable experience. We saw animals and birds in their natural habitat in the national game parks, we saw something of Zulu life and a living Xhosa village, and the diversity included the majestic Drakensberg mountains, the coast at its most spectacular, the garden route and wine region, and beautiful Capetown. Our thanks to Chantelle, our leader, and to Claire who arranged it all.

Dave - Travelled to Kenya - I had dreamed of going to Africa ever since reading Robert Ruark's classic safari novel "Horn of the Hunter". My dream finally came true when I was able to spend three spectacular weeks on safari in Kenya with Claire. This was my first trip overseas, and it far exceeded all of my expectations. As an enthusiastic photographer and avid bird watcher, I was overwhelmed by not only the abundance and variety of bird species, but also the variety of mammals. To say I enjoyed the trip would be an understatement as it is exceptionally difficult to put into words an experience of a lifetime. I am already making plans to return to Africa!

Jill - Travelled to Namibia and Botswana - The safari was absolutely amazing – thank you so much Claire! Botswana and Namibia are a destination like no other. Each day, and around every corner, there is another incredible sight to see, and it was such a privilege to view Africa’s spectacular wildlife up close in its natural habitat. I've travelled to many countries, however for me, nothing comes close to Botswana or Namibia - with its raw, untamed, natural beauty. And ... I will always remember the children in remote villages - their smiles and big brown eyes are simply unforgettable. An African safari should be on everyone's ‘bucket’ list.

Max and Anna - Travelled to South Africa and Swaziland - We enjoyed the whole "World in one country" safari immensely and can only thank you most sincerely for such a great, superbly managed holiday. It was one of the best holiday trips we have ever been on! So, once again, sincere thanks Claire for a marvellous 19 days!

Jenni and John - Travelled to Botswana - You were so right! What an amazing time we had. My concerns re the dig and bury toileting turned out to be a toilet tent! Here was me thinking we had to take a trowel behind some bush and "dig and bury" Stop laughing Claire. The group of folk we were with accepted us so well and there was plenty of teasing and laughter all the way. I think we'll be writing to each other for months to come. The Okavango Delta was so awesomely beautiful. Gob-smacking, eh? The tours you organised all went very well. The Walk to Freedom and the Cape tour, being the highlights. Cape town turned on brilliant weather for the five days we were there. We certainly felt blessed. John did take some great photos and some of mine weren't so bad either!

Peter and Barbara - Travelled to Botswana - We are safely back, and wanted to tell you our safari in Botswana was the highlight of the trip for both of us! The guide (Eddie) and Camp assistant (Chris) were so knowledegable, every time we spotted anything, they had something else interesting to tell us about it. They are so confident and so personable, we really felt well looked after and safe, plus had good company.  The organisation was very good, the food exceeded our expectations, the vehicle very well suited to the trip. We saw plenty of game, loved it. So thanks very much Claire!

Hugh, Joanne, Lisa and Geoffrey - Travelled to Kenya and Tanzania - We had a fantastic time!  All the accommodation was really good. The two drivers we had were also very excellent and we had no trouble getting along with them. The whole trip was fascinating and we saw all the animals we could have wanted.  I particularly thought that Speke Bay Lodge on Lake Victoria was a very nice place for a stop. We did see some of the migration - although not of the wildebeests actually crossing the river. We came back with 9000 photographs and about 20G of movie clips - it's going to take a long time to go through these!  Thanks Claire!

Bob and Jocelyn - Travelled to South Africa and Swaziland - We were eight of us in our 70s, all good friends, on our Safari Tour and we were very lucky to have Claire with us. Her knowledge of South Africa, her superb photography and most of all her care and friendship made our tour very special. We had early starts for game drives and the longer days travel but there was plenty of time for relaxing, enjoying our meals under the stars and soaking up the atmosphere of this vast and beautiful country. Our accommodation in the thatched chalets and rondavels all with en suite far exceeded our expectations.  It is so good of you to be organizing some of your wonderful photography for us and we look forward to it very much but only in your time! We are still relating our adventure endlessly to our friends and more coming today for lunch!!

Valerie and Toby - Travelled to South Africa Swaziland - I don't think we have quite come down to earth yet and are still basking in the afterglow of our wonderful South African Safari. It far exceeded our expectations. To see the animals in their natural habitat was a thrill and a great experience. Some of the highlights were getting up close and personal to white rhino and elephants and four of the big five, but the leopard managed to elude us. We were captivated by the bird life - such a vast variety and so colourful! As well as the safari we enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere of South Africa - such a vast and diverse country. We enjoyed learning more about the culture and were privileged to visit the working Xhosa village of Rhini. The ever-changing landscape made travel enjoyable and the accommodation was excellent, all with en suites. Our African guide, Chantelle, couldn't have been better and her knowledge, combined with Claire's, made the trip very interesting. There were eight of us in the group, all 70 somethings and all good friends, so that was the icing on the cake and we were well looked after by Claire. A memorable trip. Thanks Claire.

Mark - Travelled to Tanzania - The safari was a fantastic experience and fulfilled a long held ambition for me. The drivers were excellent in their knowledge and willingness to share their knowledge and insights. They were adept at picking out animals and activity of interest and they were clearly passionate about the animals and the environment. When we were on game drives it always seemed like we had plenty of time and we were not rushed as events of interest unfolded. I was impressed by the driving ability of our guides - I always felt safe and that we were making good progress as well as reasonable comfort across sometimes rough roads and tracks. The Lodge accommodation was very comfortable and a welcome oasis for each evening. I would definitely recommend the Tanzanian Simba safari. Again, many thanks Claire!
