Day 1 - Windhoek, Namibia
Dinner

After landing at the Hosea Kutako airport, 40 km outside Windhoek, you will be met and greeted by your private Ultimate Safaris guide who will be accompanying you on your journey. En route to your overnight accommodation in Windhoek you will be taken on a short city tour of the capital city of Namibia. After this you will be checked into your overnight accommodation to recover from your long journey and prepare for the adventure that lies ahead. Dinner tonight is had at a well known restaurant in town with your guide, or dinner can be enjoyed at the guesthouse.

Day 2 - Windhoek to AfriCat Foundation, Okonjima, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

After a leisurely breakfast you will be collected by your guide and set off on your journey, which today takes you through Okahandja to Okonjima, situated at the base of the Omboroko Mountains, which is the home of the AfriCat Foundation. You visit the Okahandja Craft Market en route and arrive at Okonjima Bush Camp in time for lunch. Here you can enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, superb accommodation and fantastic activities; starting with a guided afternoon excursion and a visit to the night hide after dinner.

Day 3 - Okonjima/Africat to Etosha National Park, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

This morning is spent on another exciting activity before returning to Bush Camp for brunch. You depart and head for the Etosha National Park in the late morning and lunch is had en route. There is an option to stop off a few kilometers outside Tsumeb to visit the sink hole, Lake Otjikoto. You arrive at the luxurious Mushara Outpost in the mid afternoon and if time allows you can enter the Etosha National Park for some exciting game viewing. You return to Mushara Outpost before sunset and in time for dinner.

Day 4 - Etosha National Park, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

A full day of exciting game viewing within the eastern section of Etosha National Park today, with the option to go on across towards Halali or you can concentrate on the areas closer to Namutoni and north to Fischer’s Pan. You also have the option to return to the lodge for lunch, or to stay on for the whole day in the park to maximize your game viewing experience. Enjoy a spectacular second evening with dinner at the delightful Mushara Outpost.

Day 5 - Etosha National Park, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Today is spent on an extended game drive inside the Etosha National Park as you make your way across the park to reach Okaukuejo Resort, situated on the southern section of Etosha. You will have lunch en route at one of the state owned resorts. You arrive at Okaukuejo Resort in the late afternoon and the rest of the evening can be spent game viewing at the camp’s floodlit waterhole.

Day 6 - Etosha National Park, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Today will be spent on an extended and exciting game drive with your guide towards the western side of Etosha National Park. You can have lunch en route and spend the day exploring the western side of the Etosha National Park, which up until recently was closed off to the general public for research purposes. You arrive at Dolomite Camp in the late afternoon after what should have been a fantastic day of game viewing.

Day 7 - Etosha to Damaraland, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

Today after breakfast you depart and head to Damaraland, traveling via the Grootberg Pass. Along the way your guide will take you to visit a local Himba settlement – you may have to search for a while as the semi-nomadic Himba people sometimes move location with no notice. They are one of the last most traditional peoples of Namibia and have little time for conventional practices. You will learn about the customs and traditions of this very proud nation, and will be given insight into their beliefs, way of life and everyday routine.

You continue to Damaraland where you will stay at Camp Kipwe for two nights. If time allows this afternoon your guide will take you to visit the nearby attractions and geological sites of Twyfelfontein rock engravings (recently declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Burnt Mountain, the Organ Pipes and the Damara Living Museum - if not there is plenty of time to do so tomorrow.

Day 8 - Damaraland, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

An early morning start in your private vehicle, your guide will take you into desert adapted elephant country, in search of these giants. Namibia is one of two countries in the world were you still find desert elephants; the other being Mali. You will also encounter numerous other species of desert wildlife, before returning to the camp for lunch and an afternoon at leisure and be spent on a guided walk.

Day 9 - Damaraland to Swakopmund, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

After breakfast you depart for Swakopmund. On your way to Swakopmund you have lunch and also pass Namibia’s highest mountain, the Brandberg, arriving in Swakopmund in the mid-afternoon. There will be time this afternoon to wander around town on foot if appeals before heading off to dinner at one of the famous local restaurant.

Day 10 - Swakopmund, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

After an early breakfast your guide will drive you along the scenic coastal road back to Walvis Bay for a memorable morning marine cruise with seals and dolphins within the outer lagoon and harbour. This is an ideal way of seeing Cape fur seals, Heaviside and bottlenose dolphins, pelicans, flamingos and a wide variety of sea birds. If you are lucky, there is also a chance of seeing whales, leatherback turtles and sunfish. You will return to the jetty at roughly 12h30 after which you may like to explore Walvis Bay further before returning to Swakopmund for an afternoon at leisure at your hotel or in town.

You may also like to partake in some of the many activities that Swakopmund has to offer, these include camel rides, scenic flights, quad-biking in the dunes, sky diving and more (all at extra cost).

Day 11 - Swakopmund to Sossusvlei, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

After breakfast you depart from Swakopmund and make your way into the heart of the Namib Desert. You also have the option to visit the prehistoric Welwitschia plants and the fascinating moon landscape if this appeals. Lunch is had en route, and shortly before arriving at the Sossus Dune Lodge, you visit the Sesriem Canyon near the gate to the Namib Naukluft Park. You arrive at the Sossus Dune Lodge in the late afternoon and have the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. This is the only lodge situated inside the National Park, and gives us 24 hour access to the giant sand dunes of the Namib Desert.

Day 12 - Sossusvlei, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

This morning you will rise early for a magical excursion with your guide in the Namib Naukluft National Park setting off from the lodge which is already inside the Park gates. As a result, you can be on your way at sunrise to capture the dunes whilst the light is soft and shadows accentuate their towering shapes and curves. This area boasts some of the highest free-standing sand dunes in the world. Your guide will give you an insight on the formation of the Namib Desert and its myriad of fascinating creatures and plants that have adapted to survive these harsh environs. Once you have explored to your hearts content you can enjoy a relaxing picnic breakfast under the shade of a camel thorn tree. Return to Sossus Dune Lodge in the early afternoon for a late lunch, stopping off to view Sesriem Canyon en route if this wasn’t done the previous day. The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure (from experience, this is usually welcomed after an exhilarating morning in the dunes).

Day 13 - Sossusvlei to Windhoek, Namibia
Breakfast | Lunch | Dinner

After breakfast you make your way back to Windhoek to arrive in the afternoon with time to explore the shops and craft centre for some last minute curio shopping if appeals. You spend the last night of your safari at the Galton House and dinner this evening can be out at a restaurant in town, or at the Galton House with your guide.

Day 14 - End of safari
Breakfast

Safari ends after breakfast.
