South Africa is well on its way to hosting the biggest sporting event in Africa - endless amounts of preparation has gone into perfecting the 2010 World cup event. This includes not only the erection of stadiums in the nine host cities, but also an array of infrastructures that have been put into place to ensure a successful 2010. Dates, times and venues have been set aside for every match for the respective groups and host cities. The host cities are; Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth, Pretoria, Nelspruit, Bloemfontein, Rustenburg and Polokwane.
The kick-off game is to be played on the 11th of June 2010 at the Soccer City stadium in Johannesburg and the finals will be played exactly a month later on the 11th of July 2010 at the same venue.

With nine host cities carefully chosen for the 2010 world cup, many preparations have gone into refurbishing the 5 existing stadiums and also the rebuilding of 5 bigger and better stadiums. The stadiums are expected to hold up to 70,000 spectators from all over the world.

Each Stadium had been carefully designed to cater not only for the soccer games and its supporters, but also vital factors such as weather conditions, style, structure, endurability, noise reduction methods, visual impacts and financial sustainability.
